Best hot sauce I have ever had in my life!!! Yo me mato is the greatest stuff you will soon be addicted to the heat. Nice family run PR business with great service. I'm always trying to find delicious Empanadas and this place has a ton of variety. Some chicken and cheese, shrimp, spicy seafood, pizza really unique options, can't go wrong with those stuffed potatoes balls or yucca. Mostly take out with hot food ready to go or quick eat in spot to grab a seat for something else on the menu.

Great authentic Puerto Rican food. I've been eating here for over 25 years. The pernil (roast pork) and carne guisada (beef stew) are delicious personal favorites, and great for newbies. With a side of rice & beans, and an order of tostones (twice-fried flattened plantains), you can't go wrong. They even do great pressed breakfast sandwiches. It's a tiny hole-in-the-wall little spot, but that's usually where you get the best food anyway.

El Mercado has nothing on this restaurant so I would really re-consider this, Jose C. I have never seen anything like swapping soup onto another customers and I've gone there more than 8 times. I go there and they feed me like a king. The food is great. El Mercado's always losing the restaurants they have in there. Cuchilandia's no longer there and I loved their food. Now it's all dominicanos cooking nonsense thinking they can cook. Only Americans love their food because they don't know any better. That's like me loving Italian food that tastes like ish to true Italians. As for Aqui Me Quedo, I like the atmosphere, they have a section where you can sit on higher than usual seats on what seems like a bar. It's a small eating area, with only two tables that can seat four people each. And they don't serve soup, They serve up rice and beans with some good escaveche de bacalao. The only thing that sucks is the parking and the neighborhood. Too much loitering and people with nothing to do.

If you love Puerto Rican food...this is a nice spot to go to. They have a variety of Cuchifritos(meat fritters) that are cheap(most are a dollar each), and if you get a meal, they will fill the platter up with rice, beans and platanos(plantains are optional) I usually eat their escaveche and sancocho(PR version of beef stew). I don't live around that area anymore, but when I do come around, I go there to get some good for 10 bucks(might cost you 30 at TGIFridays AND you will get half that plate) but it's like eating at a PR home, :D. The customers are usually people from the surrounding neighborhoods and they are friendly, but they are the regulars from around the way. Some customers even come out with their own Guirros(PR instrument) to play music(usually Fridays), which the owner allows and it's entertaining, it's like being in a small restaurant in Puerto Rico. It's not meant to be a quiet restaurant in my opinion, but I like it that way. :D. It IS a small restaurant, seating at the most 8 people with 6 or so bar stools running along the wall from entrance on in. You will either go there to get something quick for lunch or stay...the seats are never occupied for long because most people don't stay, they take their food to go. good restaurant. What about the customer service? meh, they're feeding you, right? I'm not one to judge customer service because that looks snobbish. UNLESS I get REALLY BAD service to the point that I can't stand the place and don't wan to come back. I will lea a tip them, but I just won't come back there.
